The Network of Ex-Asylum Seekers (NEAS-SL) on the 30th July, 2025 planned and held one professional counceling meeting with New Arrival Deportees (NAD) at NEAS-SL office in Freetown.
This meeting brought together Newly Deported persons, the Human Rights Commission (HRC-SL), a NEAS-SL hired consultant, Old deportees, Media, and Civil Society groups to discuss over a meal.
The objective of the meeting was to provide professional counselling for NADs to change their mindset to reduce deportation stress and trauma to enable them fit back into societies in their various communities of origin.
